The Wine Society of India and Steven Spurrier are
pleased to announce the
‘WSI Wine and Your Lifestyle Educational Series’
This 2-part classroom-style programme is designed to help you feel more comfortable about selecting, tasting and serving wine. The class topics include types of wine, what to assess in a wine, how to read a wine label, food and wine pairing and famous wine regions around the world. You will no longer be at a loss for words when entertaining friends, or ordering wine at a restaurant!

A introduction to wine basics, including a tasting of 8 wines and our signature
Bournville fine dark chocolate and red wine pairing. |
| Level 1 will be offered on two consecutive dates for your scheduling convenience. |

| Syllabus is as follows: |
- – What is wine
- – Types and styles of wine
- – What to assess in a wine
- – Eight famous red and white wine grape varietals
- – How to taste wine
- – How to open, store and serve wine correctly

| The programme will be conducted by Shagun Mehra, WSI Wine Educator |

| Having studied at Ecole les Roches and Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, Shagun became one of India’s first wine certified trainers from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), London. Shagun has since conducted wine trainings for airlines, hotels, restaurants, corporate companies and private groups. As Shagun has extensively travelled the wine world, you will find her first hand experience insightful. |
