Our Board of Wine Advisors taste hundreds of wines throughout the vineyards of the world, including India, to discover the best possible quality wines at the lowest possible price. These wines are recommended to members, then imported, distributed and sold through licensed retailers with home delivery under temperature-controlled conditions.

Steven Spurrier		In the world of fine wine, few names are held in as high regard as Steven Spurrier. Revered by aficionados throughout the globe, Steven Spurrier is the quintessential voice of wine appreciation. As one of the most respected palates, he is often sought out in the dissertation of wine. Blessed with an unrelenting passion for the vintner’s pride and joy, Steven’s dedication to the cause of wine has drawn others to his banner. A passion he continues to share with people around the world. On his path to becoming a world-famous authority on wine, Steven has been the Founder of l’Academie du Vin and the Christie’s Wine Course. He created the famous 1976 Paris wine tasting, The Judgment of Paris, about which a major Hollywood film Bottle Shock, starring Alan Rickman, has been released. Besides being a consultant editor for Decanter Magazine, the world’s most prestigious wine publication, Steven is also Chairman, Board of Wine Advisors, The Wine Society of India.


Reva Singh		Reva has built a formidable reputation for herself in the Indian wine industry in a remarkably short time span. She has an MA from Delhi University and is a graduate of the Radcliffe Publishing Course in the US. Her long years in magazine publishing were preceded by a spell as Lecturer in English Literature. As the publisher of Sommelier India - The Wine Magazine, Reva gets the privileged opportunity to taste a variety of wines from around the world. This has helped her expand her knowledge base vastly, a knowledge that she gladly shares with her readers.


David Banford		David's 'Passage to India' began in Cuffe Parade Mumbai (Bombay), where he attended the Cathedral School. David pioneered the introduction of direct marketing of wine in the US with the launch of The Wine Society of America in 1986, which grew to become the largest wine club in the US. David led the IPO of The Wine Society of America on the Nasdaq. David is an avid collector of Bordeaux classified growths, and has bought more than he can afford of many vintages 'en primeur' especially 2005!. David completes his 'full circle' back to the city of his birth with the launch of The Wine Society of India in 2006.
