Steven Spurrier – Chairman of the Board of Wine Advisors

World authority on wine and Consultant Editor of Decanter Magazine, even more famous now after the release of ‘Bottle Shock’, the movie based upon his famous wine tasting held in 1976 - now referred to as 'The Judgment of Paris'. Don’t believe everything you see – Steven is much more dignified than the movie portrays! Steven’s choice of wine depends on his mood, but he loves a crispy white on a warm summer’s day!

David Banford - Director

Prior to The Wine Society of India, David was the Founder and CEO of The Wine Society of America which IPO’d on NASDAQ in 1990. As history often repeats itself, watch this space! David has been collecting Bordeaux wines since the 1975 vintage – and is still waiting to drink a few of them!

Nishant Kapoor - General Manager

An INSEAD MBA who learned about wine in France, where he discovered that accountancy and wine are a perfect match! Nishant learned on his first trip to Tuscany, that what happens before a grape is picked is more important than what happens after, and enjoyed many Brunellos to prove it!

Priyankka Mani – Brand Manager

With a background of online Marketing, advertising and strategic alliances, Piyankka has introduced The Wine Society of India to many new alliances yielding many happy members. She loves to dance, and no better way to cool off after a practice than a cold glass of Rosé!

Sunil Agrawal – Finance Manager

Sunil’s passion is listening to old songs when he is not keeping the books in good order for WSI. He is new to the world of wine, but is learning that a glass of Shiraz can smell as spicy as a good vegetable Kolhapuri!

Snehal Mulye – Finance Assistant

Working closely with Sunil to ensure funds are in order, Snehal’s favourite pastimes include music and dancing – watch out John Travolta after she has enjoyed a glass or two of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc!
