Alois Lageder "Riff" Pinot Grigio 2005

This fresh and light Italian wine has a slightly yeasty characteristic; floral, medium bodied, lemony and crisp with the requisite almond note on the finish. The name "riff" (German for reef), refers to the Dolomite's geologic origin.

Bahula Chenin Blanc 2005

Pale yellow, with an attractive nose of pear drops and citrus, this is a well-expressed Indian Chenin Blanc with fruit on the palate, slightly honeyed and just off-dry. It also has a pleasant lift of acidity on the finish.

Laroche Chardonnay 2004

From France, this fresh wine is yellow with lemony tints, has ripe Chardonnay fruits and melon overtones, nice touch of oak, smooth flavours and a rounded dry finish.

Laroche Merlot 2003

Warm ruby red, aromas of blackcurrants and red fruits with ripe red fruits flavours and a rounded, elegant finish reminiscent of a Saint-Emilion from Bordeaux, France.

Paiara Puglia 2003

Deep plummy red, this Italian wine has a lovely extraction of black fruits and dry spices on the nose and nicely concentrated fruit on the palate. It also has a very good length and a lovely smooth finish.

Paso de Luz Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

Chilean red with deep ruby colour, it has a nose of crushed berry fruit and a hint of raisins. Blackcurrant flavours dominate the palate, lush and savoury with a firm finish.

Laborie Chardonnay 2006, South Africa

Glorious buttercup yellow colour - a butterscotch nose follows with hints of citrus and candied fruits. The palate shows toasty oak married to candied tropical fruit, but with refreshing balancing acidity. Partners chicken and seafood dishes perfectly.

Vina Punto Alto Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Chile

Inky black and dense, with ripe cassis and damson scents and overlaid with hints of tobacco and sandalwood. Serve at room temperature with stews and steaks as well as grilled meats and hard cheeses.

Punto Nino Sauvignon Blanc 2006, Chile

This sauvignon blanc has a lightly smoked palate expression which complements the delicate aromas of fresh flowers. The perfect wine for aperitifs or fish starters.
